Pier Luigi Dovesi is Chair and Co-Founder of The Good AI Lab (GAL), an independent research collective advancing responsible AI for social good.
His extensive work in perception and safety for autonomous vehicles and robots originated the idea that AIs - just like humans - should continuously adapt. This insight led to methods that enable AI systems to learn and improve continuously, even in unfamiliar and complex environments.
His work is published in leading venues including CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, ICRA, and 3DV, collaborating with institutions including KTH Royal Institute of Technology, the University of Bologna, La Sapienza, UniMoRE, CTU Prague, ETH Zurich, and TU Munich.
Pier is an active member of the AI community through public speaking, organizing educational events, mentoring, and advancing humanitarian initiatives with AI.
